So it snowed 11 inches just last night... See ya

Finally!

The cold snap on Mt. Hood broke and now its snowing again. And climbers are lost but thats another story. Anywho it has been really good boarding, Yesterday was really good but today, today was out of sight! All morning it was blue bird and beautiful, I took my fair share of powdery canyon runs and most definitely bagged some sky miles! I am going to tell you a secret... I even took some park laps and slid some rails, it was awesome. Bad news is while I was having so much fun I forgot document it in photos, its cool though, I should have a video of it coming this way and hopefully this picture of a Delicious cheeseburger will get you by for now.

About Me...

I don't think enough people appreciate the feeling of one nice good turn. In the age of double cork hoosker-dos and triple back lips down the Empire State Building the love of burnin' a turn was lost. The best thing about a rippin carve is it can be done almost anywhere! From the beginner slope to the gnarliest AK line, in the park or through a snow covered park! I am just going to come right out and say it, Carving is Fucking Rad. Sorry for swearing but I love it. Add a little power to the back leg and throw a spray, really crank it and that spray becomes one massive slash! Not to take away from from jumping or jibbing which are both fun, fun, fun, just shreddin is a gooood time. Been really busy so I promise to try and slap up more content more often for your viewing pleasure and next time you are out boarding just lean over and crank one out for me!

Went for another cruise today on the sledboard and it was a hoot. The trees were fun, jibbed a log, got down right Hog Wild! I am gonna keep this one short because I am hungry. Really hungry.

First day on the boardski

Let me tell you about being manly... it is great. So I got to make some turns today for my first day of the season and it was awesome. I fell down twice for no reason other than to look cute is my guess. I have to admit early season is maybe my favorite time of year. There are always plenty of bonks and sliders but the key thing is how loopy the terrain still is, every bump and roll becomes some sort of stunt tool and the smallest rock band becomes early season cliff city. Awesome.

Alright Lads, it is go time. Winter is sneaking its way up to us here on Mt. Hood and its not being very sneaky about it. I'm starting this off with a few answers.

I am totally geeked out on boarding.

This blog will be about snowboarding, me snowboarding , my friends rippin, and heck maybe you! and movies. I like movies.

Now Here is the BIG ONE! What is "ScorpionFace"? ScorpionFace is the face made when you hook that front edge up and slam your grill/head/face/brain into the snow/rock/tree/ice/pudding and the heal edge of your Shred Stick slams into the back of your dome piece... yeah that face. Scorpions suck, unless they are in glass cases or in Mortal Kombat. I once broke my shoulder blade doing a scorpion on a flat cat track, how do you break something on the back of your body by slamming your face? I don't know but it can and WILL happen.

I just want to say thanks for swinging by and I am hoping to throw new content up here all the time so stay tuned.
